Description: 
Knowledge in print was exploding : boundaries were being reached in science under Newton while European geography was being expanded. Intimacy with the printing process was revelation of the mirror symmetry in the universe. Bach was that printmaker in those times.

In these series of paintings various three part musical squares are revolved three times in harmony to the whole. This rotation allows for a gradual progression in shadow and voice: tenor, alto and bass.

Bach's small works remind me of Durer's egravings, while the larger works, The Well Tempered Clavier appear like enormous etchings done on the scale of paintings on canvas.
